One month in and we are off to a terrific start! On July 12 our district had a new club chartered, the Suicide Prevention and Brain Health club with 49 members of which 47 are new Rotarians. How exciting!

Last year, we launched the first-ever year-long virtual youth leadership program for Rotary District 5810. While we wish we were having our typical in-person summer camp, we're glad to build on the success of RYLead 2020 as we head into RYLead 2021.
The Aaron's Well project in Kenya Africa is seeking partnerships! Currently, they have 3 clubs and two districts participating in the project, including Athens, Texarkana, and Prosper. The project scope: Building a well to service orphanages in the area. Click for more info.
The Coppell Rotary Club partnered with the Msasa Rotary Club of Zimbabwe to provide a solar electric panel and pump to a well to supply water for the Mutoko Green Project.
The Rotary Club of Carrollton-Farmers Branch is “Taking the Toilet Paper Challenge” and is teaming up with a local non-profit agency, Metrocrest Services, to try and collect 100,000 rolls of toilet paper by August 26, 2021 (National Toilet Paper Day).
Park Cities Rotary Club was honored at the Dallas County Dental Society banquet on May 27th with the 2021 Community Leader of the Year Award for our annual Dentistry with a Heart Program.

Chartering a new club is not for the faint-hearted, but John Moser, District Governor, 2020-21, District 5810, and Rotary International paved the way for a successful start-up of the Rotary Club of Collin County.
After having to cancel the Parade in 2020, RCPC was eager to put the Parade back on the road, as were the residents of the Park Cities and all of the other spectators who come to enjoy it.
White Rock Rotary enjoyed hosting five of six scholarship recipients at a lunch recently. Each recipient gave a brief presentation which mentioned her chosen college, field of study and hopes for the future. Their enthusiasm was infectious!
